For over two decades, the Chandler Education Foundation has spearheaded the Cash For Classrooms Fundraiser, a remarkable initiative that showcases the power of collective action in enhancing education.
This annual campaign sees families and staff across the Chandler Unified School District come together, contributing small amounts that collectively make a substantial impact. The funds raised are then channeled into grants that enable innovative projects, enriching the learning experiences of students across the district.
In the fall of 2023, the Chandler Education Foundation disbursed over $75,000 in 116 teacher-requested grants, igniting transformative projects across various schools. Here are a few examples that illustrate the diverse ways in which these grants are making a difference:
Digital Integration at Willis Junior High
Eighth-graders at Willis Junior High are honing future-ready skills through digital integration facilitated by stylus pens. These tools empower students during algebra lessons, fostering note-taking, organization, and collaboration through various digital platforms. Musical Exploration at Santan Elementary

Improvisation Workshops at Santan Junior High
Santan Junior High students are boosting confidence and creativity through improvisation workshops led by external speakers from Improv Mania. By refining critical thinking and communication skills in drama classes, students are better equipped to navigate uncertainty—a valuable asset in today's fast-paced world.
Cultural Exploration at Tarwater Elementary
Mandarin students at Tarwater Elementary are immersing themselves in ancient Chinese innovations and cultural celebrations through hands-on experiments, cooking, and storytelling. Interdisciplinary Learning at Knox Gifted Academy
