Subaru Superstore of Chandler, in partnership with the Chandler Education Foundation (CEF), proudly celebrates a decade of empowering educators in the Chandler Unified School District (CUSD).
Over the past 10 years, the Subaru Superstore of Chandler has generously donated more than $370,000, funding Lifelong Learning scholarships that enable CUSD teachers to pursue advanced degrees and professional certifications.
The Lifelong Learning scholarships, managed by CEF, provide CUSD educators with up to $2,500 annually for two years. For many teachers, these scholarships have made all the difference, enabling them to further their education and progress in their careers.
To mark this significant milestone, CEF recently hosted a celebration honoring the 45 educators who received scholarships this past year. The event featured remarks from Lisa Cvijanovich, of Subaru Superstore of Chandler; Frank Narducci, Superintendent of CUSD; and Jen Hewitt, Executive Director of CEF.
“Teachers are the heart of our community, and we wanted to find a meaningful way to recognize their contributions while investing in their growth,” said Lisa Cvijanovich. “These scholarships are our way of giving back, helping educators enhance their skills and continue their professional journey.”
The scholarships awarded have supported a diverse range of professional development, from doctoral degrees for experienced teachers aspiring to leadership roles, to board certification for paraeducators aiming to take the next step in their careers.
“These scholarships are more than just financial support—they're a recognition of the hard work and dedication of our teachers,” shared Frank Narducci. “By investing in our educators, these awards are ultimately investing in our students, equipping our teachers with the latest skills and knowledge.”
The Subaru Share the Love Event, which directly funds these scholarships, kicks off Thursday, November 21st this year. For every vehicle sold or leased during this annual event, Subaru Superstore donates to various charitable organizations, including the Chandler Education Foundation’s Lifelong Learning program.
