KBC Foundation Scholarship - Technical or Trade School

The KBC Foundation is proud to offer a one-time scholarship of $3,000 to support three (3) Perry High students who plans to pursue further education at an accredited technical or trade school.
This scholarship is intended to help students continue their education in fields that prepare them for skilled careers in industries that are in high demand.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for The KBC Foundation Technical/Trade School Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Current student at Perry High School, graduating from Perry High in May.
- Plan to attend an accredited technical or trade school starting in the summer and/or fall following their high school graduation.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 by the application deadline.
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher, school counselor, or mentor who can speak to your academic abilities, character, and personal growth during your time in high school. The letter should highlight why you are a strong candidate for this scholarship and how you demonstrate qualities that will help you succeed in your technical/trade school program.
- Statement highlighting some form of personal growth during their high school years, showcasing how they have matured, overcome challenges, and/or developed both personally and academically.
- Statement explaining the skills and knowledge they hope to gain by attending a technical/trade school and how this education will help them achieve their career goals.
Selection:
The scholarship selection committee will review all applications based on the following factors:
- Academic performance and GPA (minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA required)
- Personal growth and maturity demonstrated in the Personal Growth Statement
- Clarity and thoughtfulness of the Educational and Career Goals Statement
- Strength of the Letter of Recommendation
- Commitment to attending an accredited technical or trade school
Before the financial award can be disbursed, the recipient must provide proof of enrollment in an accredited technical or trade school. If proof of enrollment is not provided, the scholarship will be forfeited, and the funds may be awarded to another eligible candidate.
